"The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legends fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. In one Age, called the Third Age by some, an Age yet to come, an Age long past, a wind rose in the Black Hills. The wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the Wheel of Time. but it was a beginning."
So far the evening had been just like any other evening at The Two Sisters. People ate and drank, most drank. A gleeman told the story about Arthur Hawkwings last battle, which everyone seemed to appreciate. Outside the rain fell hard, so the owner had made sure that the fire was warmer than usual. He yawned. It seemed to be a long night, and nothing among the guests suggested that anything interesting would happen. Of course, that meant no fighting, so he should perhaps appreciate the lack of incidents...

Leaning on his walking stick Vos sighed with relife. Though still far away, he now was sure it was the light from a small village he saw through the pouring rain. Even if he had spent many night sleeping under the stars, he had hoped to find an inn were he could get a bed, and maybee even afford to buy something to eat. He wasn't to sure about the food though. It was getting colder for each day now and the soaking rain made it chill in all of his 5.7 ft. Soon he would have to spend some of his scarse coins on a thicker mantle.
When entering the inn Vos felt how the warmth made it start prickling in his fingers and cheecks. He soon spotted the innkeeper, and asked him if there by chance where a room were he could spend the night. After paying for the room and something to eat, he sat down as close to the fire as he could find a place to let the clothes dry a bit.

"what are you doing here?" whispered Celandine into his ear as to not raise any eavesdroppers.
Celandine had crept up into the chair next to him. Her cloak lagged onto the floor and her hood still had rain drops on it from outside. Her blue eyes danced into the flames as she stared into the immenseness of the red-orange glow. Her long brown hair had clearly been dried by the flames though it looked still wet. A sword hilt could clearly be seen through the opening of her cloak. Thunder rang through everyone's ears as they ordered pints of ale and cheese from the innkeeper. No one seemed to notice them as they sat there minding their own business. She started to drink as she waited for a reply.

Vos looked up when he heard the voice. He glanced over at the girl, who had sat down next to him. Whoever it was she must have misstaken him for someone else. He was very sure that he never had seen her before. Afterall not many young women flaunted a sword like that, allmost as if she was asking to be challanged. The last thing he wanted was to share the table with a girl. Five weeks had past and every second of that dreadfull night was still etched on his eaylids. Each time he closed his eays he was forced to relive the attack. The pain of loosing everything dear to him was as sharp as ever. He did not want company, that was why he had left to wander aimlessly. But he sure wasn't up to fight someone clearly not unsure of how to handle a sword. He had to be carefull in how to answer. -Sorry me'Lady. -You must have misstaken yourself. Surely we do not know eachother? He said humbly, not meating her eays.

*just to get your attention, the sword was not actually out, it was just there in the scabbard and the hilt was poking out of the cloak, that's all* anyways:
"everyone knows what happened on that 'dreadful night'. It's spread around quickly. Everyone knows. You let it get out." Celandine said, ignoring what he had said before. She could see his eyes flinch as she brought up the subject.

ooc: Did you read my profil? (now it's more or less complete)
Vos was getting more and more puzzled. She knew about the attack, and seemed to recognise him, but he could not remember her at all. She could have been one of the soldiers who had arrived to late to rescue anyone, but himself, from the village. And what did she mean by, "you let it get out"? Did they try to keep the attack unknown to people so as not to frighten them? But he hadn't spoken to many people at all since leaving the lord who had tried to recruite him to the army, "for a chance to revange his lost ones". And this far away few even knew were his village was, and even less persons would care. What right did she have to come here... Vos thoughts was spinning to fast for him to make sense of anything. Finaly he asked himself if he even did care about what happened next. For the first time he looked up and met her gaze. -Who are you, and what do you want with me? Vos noticed that her eyes where blue, not the same grayish blue as his own, but blue. It was rare in these parts of the world. He had been the onlyone in his village with blue eyes. At the tought of his old home, the pain made him grip his mug so hard, that his knuckles turned white.

"Be careful there," she said looking at him hold his drink."You might break the glass." she let out a small smile. and ignored his question for a while until she actually remembered it. "My name is Celandine. I was watching that little battle you did a while back. Very interesting...you're not very good with a sword, though. You hold it wrong," she said bluntly. Celandine knew that she was probably getting on his nerves. And she knew that the subject was probably getting to him. She knew he was going to ask why she didn't do anything to help...did she have an answer?

Vos became more and more unsure of what to think about this woman. She obviously knew some about what had happened to him during the raid, but her information was strangely inacurate. Was she trying to get him to confirm that he was who she thought he was, or maybee her grasp of reality was poor. Could that bee it... ...was she slightly insane... She looked normal allright, but such things might not bee visible for the untrained eye. Slowly he spoke up, mindfull not to touch the most painfull memories. -As you surely have seen, I do not have a sword, and have never wielded one. -But you seem to know who I am, but you did not answer my question about who you are, with more then a name. Your name tough does not mean anything to me. Slowly raising his mug to drink, he keept his eyes on her.

"yes, well," she said picking up her mug too."you might as well call that walking stick at your side one." You're lucky you got away alive." "If my name means nothing to you then why do you ask of it? What do you mean, 'tell me who you are'. I have told you my name without even asking of yours...Does that make you content?" She looked at his gaze and confronted him."I am no monster nor spy nor enemy so I would really appreciate it if you stopped looking at me like I was one."

-If you are neither fooe, spy or monster... Vos couldn't help it but smile a half smile at the mentioning of monsters, but then the memories of the raiders came floating to him, and the smile vannished even faster then it had appeared. The raiders had truely been monsters. ...Then what are you? That is now the third time I ask you to tell me who you are. Are you a ranger, soldier, assasin...? -What are you? -And for not asking my name, it suprises me if you don't allready know it. You defenately know more about me then I know about you.

"hmm...well, I have things to do in this world...i don't wait around for things to happen like you." She could see that what she said would change his mood immediately. "I shall tell you who I am, though, what good it does, I do not know. I do not know even who I am." Celandine stared into her drink as if waiting for words to say would pop out.She came back to life. "I am in exile, as some would say. Though I would not say so myself. But, each to his own as what each does think. I care not.You could call me a ranger...or whatever you wish. I care not." She was throwing out puzzles to him, random words, and she knew it. This brought back memories of herself, of what she was. But she wiped them away. That was the past. The past cannot be changed.

Nothing, absolutely nothing did she give away. Vos felt how tired he was, five weeks on the road, ever walking, not even stopping for food very often, had taken it's toll. Exil. The word flickered in his mind. Didn't that describe his situation aswell. Not a forced exil, but like it or not on the run was what he was. Not from people, but from feelings. But he couldn't escape the dreams that haunted him, the dead eyes looking back at him everytime he closed his eye. -Exil? That was allmost as much he could muster the strenght to say. -So you won't tell me how you come to know me or what happened five weeks ago? He let pas her remark about him just waiting for things to happen. All he had ever wanted was to be a farmer. What now... For the first time he gave the future a thought, how would he stay alive?

Celandine thought very long and hard before saying what she was about to say. She couldn't give too much away; not now.
She looked around the room for any listeners. Everyone was at the bar or at their own conceded table minding their own business.
"They are after you Vos, for what you have done. They are after me too. They have been after me since I was born." She was still staring into the drink that was curiously still full. She could see his eyes widen as she said his name.

Light, Vos cursed to himself, so she did know his name aswell. But by the Creator, what was she talking about, they were after him, and her. Who were they? Why? was she insane after all? Vos opened his mouth to speak. -What are you... However midsentence he feelt how the table came crashing up hiting him square over the face. Just when all went black he realised that the five weeks woth little food and no rest had caught up with him. He fainted from pure exhaustion.
