smart move to go slowly on WoT, so you don't have to wait aaaaages for the next book to come out, like the rest of us who reads every new book immidiatly.

The books never seems to last more then a week, two at the very most, for me. I have to find something else to read while waiting. Have heard that Malazan Book of the Fallen should be good. By Steven Erikson. Anyone who has read them?

Nope. But a lot of people I've been talking to recommends George Martin, A Song of Fire and Ice. I just started on Goodkind, and if you can ignore that he steals a lot from Jordan he's pretty ok.

Haven't been here for a while. Glad to see this discussion is sticking to its purpose (not like some that seem to serve more for a chatroom type thing rather than a discussion). I've seen many arguments I like, and I really have to agree that Evenstar emanates a sort of aversion for WoT, which is totally arbitrary. I personally LOVE WoT, and find it a very enjoyable series. LotR is kind of an epic sort of thing, with everything all hero-ish and whatnot. It is good, but, I prefer the way Jordan writes and gives a sort of human factor to the characters. So, uh, *takes out notebook and pen*, who likes WoT, again? LOL
