They have a very long and confusing plot line but I'll try to explain it as best I can, First off heres a website for the books just in case www.elizabethhaydon.com/Well, the books take place in an alternate universe created by Elizabeth and it is almost a 'medival' era or along those lines. There is a whole little prologue deal at the beginning of Rhapsody where a boy named Gwydion gets sent back in time and meets a young girl named Emily. They fall in love but just when there are about to run away together he gets sent back to his place in the future. Then the book goes into a girl named Rhapsody (who you realize is Emily) and how she is running from a 'customer' who can't get enough and won't leave her alone. She is leaning to be a namer, or a high singer (singers in these books posses great power for there ability to control things through their music) She runs into an assasin and a giant on the run and using her ability as a singer renames him to save him from his persurer. They then kidnap her and together they flee their homeland through the roots of a tree of power. After a excrutiation long trek throught the roots, fighting vermin, finding a hidden wrym, and going through the earths core, they find themselves on the other side of the world 14 centruies later. And their old country has sunk into the sea. And so the rest of the series has them defeating many evil powers and helping the new world out. They meet many new and surprising people and many many many other things. Sometimes the books can be confusing. I think I had to read 'Requim for the Sun' twice. Its confusing in the sense that everything ties in together. She really doesn't give you any information that you will not use later (somtimes books later) and just about every person you meet has some significance. For example that little prolougue deal at the beggining of the first book, I don't think you find out how that ties in till later in the series....I think it might not be till the second or third book. The books are a little mature, considering at the beginning shes a prostitute, but they definatly go into some 'controversial' material. They are completely amazing though. You should read them if your into the whole fantasy magic dragons and such deal....which I hope so since this is a fantasy site.

Thanks for the information on those books, I am actually looking in to those. And about R and A hooking up, I had thought they should marry since they met back in Easton, but they do have a very stong connection that I know Haydon is going to incorporate even more (at least I hope so). But then Ashe came in and I gave up on Rhapsody and Achmed.
