Ianthe concentrated on the new name, and smiled. "Um... Perhaps we should go now? We should leave early, before news of this reaches the city... I don't know how the people will react when they find their fates rest in our hands..." She trailed off, a little embarrassed that she had spoken out so forcefully. She knew things were different here - her opinion might not be so readily accepted now as it was at home...

"Yes, we should all be on our way now." Aginor raised the hood of his cloak and headed out the door, hoping a certain someone would follow.

Ianthe raised an eyebrow. Apparently her words held some power. She shrugged and headed out the door, dropping a last curtsey to the Queen, although it went unseen. Her feet were itching, eager to begin the new journey, and escape the crowded feeling that seemed to go with city-life.

Luna glanced at the others, and then soon followed out the door. She looked curiously at the others, but was most curious about the cloaked man. "I wonder where he's from" she asked herself. She looked forward as she walked and wondered when she would find out all that she wanted to know about him, and her other companions.

Illian followed silently after with silent footsteps and a nod to the queen. He prefered action to words most of the time.

Silvana slipped through the doorway into the cold air outside. She gave a sharp whistle and waited, presently her chestnut horse, Feanare came trotting up to her. "Hey there, boy," she said as she rubbed his neck. She turned to her companions. "So, where are we off to now?"

Ianthe turned from where she stood beside her tall black stallion, already saddled from the rdie here from her patron's estate outside the city walls. She gave in impish smile, "Does anyone know where any of these places are of which Her Majesty spoke?" As she waited for an answer, she proceeded to tighten the girth strap on her saddle, and to make sure the saddle bags were tightly secured. Her patron had told her before she had come to this meeting that she might have to be away for a long time, and she had packed already.

"Oh sure," answered Silvana. "The Western Dainshi Woods? They'd be directly west of here...about seventy miles of pretty rough terrain, including a mountain range, the Deadholi. Though if you wanted easier traveling with no mountains, we could take the Northern Road, turn west and cross just above the Deadholi and start going southwest. Then you'd come to the Eastern Dainshi Woods. That adds about thirty miles to the journey though." She finished her geography lesson with, "But don't trust me too much on this, I haven't explored these Western parts long enough to know them very well."

Ianthe frowned slightly, thinking. "There is the southern road also... Through Kaiden Marsh... I think it's shorter than the northern road, but I've never travelled it... My father used to tell horrible stories of people who tried to use it. I don't think it's been safe for more than 100 years."

"No, Kaiden Marsh is not an option," Silvana said firmly. "It is definatly too dangorous. We want to take our mission into account too, we can't just go off on any path we please. We have to take the one that would get us to our goal the quickest, and safest if the case may be."

Illian spoke in a quiet voice, "I think it would be best to save our energy for the bigger battles ahead. I say the easier route." Illian slipped back into silence and moved from shadow to shadow. Like second nature he always stayed moving.

Ianthe nodded, thoughtful. glanced down at her dress with a rueful expression. "I think I shall change before we leave... This isn't really a 'travel' outfit." In truth, it was her best one - what else was she to wear before the Queen? - and a gift from her patron.
A young serving girl appeared around the corner of the house, staring anxiously at the group. She caught sight of Ianthe and hurried over. "I'm glad I caught you," She began, breathing heavily as though she had run a distance, which Ianthe supposed she had. "Her Grace asked me to bring you this." THe girl offered a folded and sealed piece of parchment.
Ianthe raised her eyebrows in surprise. A message directly from her patron was a new thing. Yet as she inspected the seal, she was unable to recognize the marking, even though it seemed oddly familiar. "Dost know who it is from?' She asked, unthinkingly switching to the dialect she normally used with family and friends.
The girl shook her head. "None. But I must go now."
Ianthe nodded, still examining the paper, although she did look up with a quick smile before the girl left.

" I agree, the shorter the route the better. We must also consider where we will be going after we reach-"Agnior paused and glanced over to Ianthe curiously. "What have you there?"

Ianthe didn't even glance up. "I've no idea." she said musingly, flipping the paper over to see if anything was written on the front. There was one word, written in an unfamiliar hand Ozella. Carefully, she slid her pocket knife under the seal, and prised it open. She leant back against her horse, trusting her weight to him, as she scanned the page.

Aginor swiftly spared a glance toward Luna then turned his attention back to Ianthe. "Anything that will help us?"
