they won everything they were nominated for and are second place for movie with the most oscars. Also, they are the first fantasy film ever to win best picture...even the wizard of oz didnt win best pic so that is really saying something! power to ya PJ!  "there are no new zealanders left to thank!" "Did you know that people are moving to new zealnad just to be thanked?!" i liked the song that jack black sang with the other dude...and WILL FARRELL IS NOT EVERYONES FAVORITE ELF!!!!!!!!! |

lol! yeah that song was awesome....on some of the lotr-ers thank you speeches they started playing the tune....i'm sure they skipped someone in NZ and now that person will feel left out.

they deserved everything they won and no less...though perferably more.
oscar voters would've been nuts if they had given an award to someone else beside lotr...that movie was just beautiful

Sorry, but I liked tFotR better then tRotK, and how many Oscars did it get...
I don't really like that they seem to reward the films as if they were one. Thus givin all the Oscars to the last on of the three.

Well, I think they rewarded the hype around it more than the movie in itself. A realistic outcome would've been three, maybe four oscars.
And 'Evil' should totally have won best non-american movie. feet that jury! *shakes fist*

I guess what tRotK should really have won is "the Oscar for best marketing"
Not that I even know of the "Evil":s opponents, but it is a good film.
