(Kamiri, um, can you please tell me your RPG's character's father's name? I'd like to address him, but without having to say "Your father". ) Rina passed a plate of food to Kamiri, as well as one to herself. A few minstrels passed by, playing elegant melodies with their pipes and lutes. Many elves passing by stopped to introduce themselves to Kamiri before moving on to seek other people within the crowded Pavilion.

His name was Aradhel.
Kamiri accepted the plate with a smile of thanks, but didn't eat anything. She was looking off across the Pavilion where a the minstels had gathered together to tune their instruments with each other. Kamiri could remember evenings spent like this both in Lothlorien and at home in Mirkwood, and smile lit her face in anticipation, her grief over her father pushed firmly to the back of her mind

her grief over her father pushed firmly to the back of her mind Eh? Well, what I'm going to say next will reverse that statement . . .
Rina looked up from her food as she heard the soft sound of silk sliding among grass. Lady Galadriel had joined her and Kamiri, and the Lord Celeborn hovered at her side.
Rina immediately stood and bowed to her aunt. For although they were kin, it was still necessary and appropriate to show respect to the Lady and Lord of Lothlorien.
Lady Galadriel smiled warmly at Rina, but then her cool eyes drifted over to Kamiri, curious.
"This is Kamiri D'Shanaelle," Rina introduced.
Lord Celeborn looked curiously at Kamiri's face. "D'Shanaelle?" he repeated thoughtfully. "I believe that I have heard of Aradhel - perhaps he is your father? You certainly bare a strong likeness of him - I can see his face in yours."

Kamiri dropped a neat curtsey to both the elves. Her face became masklike as she gazed calmly at Lord Celeborn, unwilling to reveal the pain his words caused. "My father always spoke highly of you your Lordship. I thank you for your compliment." It had often been said that her father was good-looking, as was his brother and nephew. Her name, D'Shanaelle was not strictly a family name, but one that her father had gone by, and that had since been connected with her because of her resemblance to him.

Kamiri - by the way, what occupation did your RPG character's father have? Like, what did he do for a living? I may need to know in order to make this RPG a tad bit more exciting . . .
Celeborn nodded. Then he said, "I remember him very well. He was always very courteous, and his reputation around Lothlorien was not only clean, it was glorious. He was well-loved by his kin, I have heard. He was compassionate, I know, and he never had a harsh word to say about anyone. As for his wife, whom would be your mother - she was likewise kind-hearted and well loved around Lothlorien. You are indeed fortunate to be kin to them, Kamiri D'Shanaelle. Very fortunate indeed."
Lady Galadriel raised her head. "As I was fortunate to have known your mother. Yes, it is true, we were acquainted - but that was many years before. I have not been given tidings from my scouts on how she is faring."
Rina shifted, feeling awkward, as she sensed Kamiri's discomfort at the Lord Celeborn's and the Lady Galadriel's words. She glanced furtively at Kamiri.

He was a general in the Mirkwood army - Thranduil's (my uncle) right-hand man.
Kamiri struggled to smile, although it was still a litle sad.
"My mother sailed west not three months ago, Lady. She couldn't bear to remain in Middle Earth after my father's death."
There was no accusation towards them in her voice, for not knowing. In truth, her voice was near to emotionless. She didn't turn to look at Rina, fearing she might burst into tears again, seeing any sympathy there.

Thanks for telling me. What about your mother's name please? . . .
Rina turned away, still uncomfortable.
The Lord Celeborn nodded gravely. "Yes, your father - I met him briefly mainly for the reason that he was the general of Thranduil's army in Mirkwood . . . being a general, he had a relatively good status, and we met before when discussing strategic matters on defending the Mirkwood and Lothlorien borders. He was courteous, very courteous. I remember his face very well, now that I lay my eyes on your face, the face of his daughter."
But Galadriel did not speak. She looked shocked at Kamiri's words. "Your mother . . . " she stated after a long while, "she has already passed into the West?"
Rina sensed something unusual. "Is that wrong, my lady?" she asked, concerned.
Lady Galadriel sat down slowly. "No - no - in fact, I - I - I did see her leave to the West - I saw her in my mirror."
"The Mirror of Galadriel,"Rina whispered, awed.
"But I never really believed that she was going away to the West - for the Mirror shows many things. It showed me a ship bearing away your mother to the West, across the sea - although I could not tell if that scene was just a vision, or something taking place right then. But now, now - now I hear that she has passed away to the West - and so now I know that what I saw was true. For the Mirror does not lie."
"You are not happy with this piece of news," Celeborn stated abruptly.
Galadriel looked down at her hands. "No . . . for I needed to speak with Kamiri's mother . . . I had to give her something - but now that she has already passed into the West, it it far too late."

Her name was Ilyria. She was of Noldorin descent, and was a healer in Mirkwood after she married my father. Oh, and my father was Thranduil's brother, so he would have been a 'Prince of Mirkwood' anyway.
Kamiri's eyes widened a little, though she didn't know what to say. Ilyria had told her that she'd sent messenger to all the Elven realms prior to her departure, but either her mother had been lying, and just wanted to leave without too much fuss; the messengers had been intercepted; or her mother had known something bad was going to happen, and didn't want to know any more about it han she could help. Kamiri knew that any of these were possible, considering he mother's fragile mental health in the time after Aradhel's death

Well, if Thranduil is your uncle, then that means that Legolas is your cousin . . .? Is that correct?
Lady Galadriel sighed. Then she turned abruptly and walked away, obviously still upset over Kamiri's news. Celeborn also took his leave, after giving Kamiri and Rina one last nod of acknowledgement.
Rina sat back down on the bench in front of her food, although she no longer felt hungry anymore. She sensed that something was amiss. She had never seen her aunt Galadriel look so stunned, so off-guard, for the Lady had incredible self-control, and her face seldom betrayed strong emotion. And she never stumbled over her words like she had when speaking of Ilyria. Obviously, the situation was very tense.
"Kamiri, do you know if your mother was involved in anything unusual or secretive?" Rina ventured to ask out of curiosity. If Ilyria was indeed involved in something unusual and secretive that Galadriel too knew about, the Lady Galadriel's reaction to the news would be explained.

True. And Eliwen's my adoptive sister since her family went west... but now my family's gone too...
Kamiri joined Rina on the bench, her plate of food lying forgotten beside her, a thoughtful look on her face. "I don't know... She never spoke to about anything, although she was often away for a few weeks at a time... she never spoke to anyone about where she went other than my father."

Rina hesitated, not sure how far she could speak without appearing too curious. "Did you . . . did you know your mother that well? Where are your siblings, by the way? Did they accompany you to Lothlorien? I haven't seen them around. Then again, I wouldn't know if I had seen them, since I don't know how they look like . . . As you may or may not know, I'll be leaving for school. . . so I don't know when I can come back to the forum for the RPG. I'll come back and continue this RPG as soon as I can get to it, but don't be concerned if I don't reply for a long time - it's because of school. But of course, anyone else will be welcome to come by and take part in this RPG. So good-bye for now. Thanks for sharing the RPG with me, Kamiri. ~Rina

That's ok Rina. Just come back when you can. Kamiri made a face. "We were ok... I was closer to my father than my mother though." She shrugged.
I don't have any siblings by blood, but Eliwen isn't in Lothlorien as far as I know (unless she suddenly turns up at the mention of her name ) and I don't know what her brother's name is...
