Tall and white and fair she walks beneath the trees. She speaks no word, but beckons to you. Turning aside she leads you towards the southern slopes of the hill of Caras Galadhon, and passing through a high green hedge you come into an enclosed garden. No trees grow her, and it lay open to the sky. The evening star has arisen and it shines with white fire above a western woods. Down a long flight of steps the Lady went into the deep green hollow, through which ran a murmuring the silver stream that issued from the fountain on the hill. At the bottom, upon a low pedastal carved like a branching tree, stood a basin of silver, wide and shallow, and beside it stood a silver ewer. With water from the stream Galadriel filled the basin to the brim, and breathed on it, and when the water was stil she spoke. "here is the Mirror of Galadriel," she said. "I have brought you here so that you may look in it, if you will. The Mirror will show things that I command it to reveal and to some I can show what they desire to see. But the Mirror wil also show things unbidden, and those are often stranger and more profitable than things which we wish to behold. What you will see, if you leave the Mirror free to work, I cannot tell. For it shows things that were, and things that are, and things that yet may be. But which it is that he sees, even the wisest cannot always tell. Do you wish to look?"
This is a small RPG. All you have to do is post in character if you want to look in the Mirror and what you see if you do look in the mirror! But some rules please no swearing and no seeing any obscene things! And please always try to be in character and i will reply to what you see.

Faramir walks up to Galadriel and bows. "Greetings lady. I have come to look upon the mirror." Walks to the mirror and looks deep into its waters. At first, only his reflection is seen but then it vanishes and changes into a picture of cloaked figures of stealth and cunning. Then it changed once more and the cloaked figures were around a pool, a waterfall. Then abruptly it vanished and his reflection stared back at him once more...

*Elros walks up to the mirror, bows to Galadriel, and looks in the mirror* There is fire and carnage, thunder in the sky. There is a swirling current of water, and toppled stone... *Elros pulls himself from the mirror and ask Galadriel what he has seen* What does the mirror show, Lady of Lothlorien?
*We are kin!!*

Silently Doredhelwen walked down the stone steps , leading down to the mirror. She stepped near the mirror, sighing before she looked into it. She saw herself walking in the woods of Mirkwood, she was wearing all black and was just walking. "What does it mean?" Herself in the mirror said as the image turned back to the reflection of Doredhelwen.
"What does it mean?" She found herself asking.

^ Pah - I don't think all the members who took part in this RPG are still active. So we have two choices here - we can either start up a new, fresh RPG, or we can continue with this one. Any suggestions? Please?

^oh dear . . . I suppose that since I am now the moderator here I should take on the responsibility of taking up after where Lady Galadriel left off. It's sad to see these people waiting to see what is they saw in Galadriel's Mirror . . . waiting and waiting - some since 2003. So I'll take Lady Galadriel's place for this RPG. But not right now - it's late where I am currently, so I'll get to you - I promise - when I get back either tomorrow or later on this week.

At first, only his reflection is seen but then it vanishes and changes into a picture of cloaked figures of stealth and cunning. Then it changed once more and the cloaked figures were around a pool, a waterfall. Then abruptly it vanished and his reflection stared back at him once more... Lady Galadriel drifts to the mirror as Faramir turns away. "You see yourself in the mirror", she whispers. "What you see is an incident that has not yet come to pass. An item of enormous value will hover near you, and all you will have to do is extend your hand, and take it for your own. And that will thus end with the fall of Gondor, and the fall of the rest of the world, and all that you hold dear on this good Earth. So be wary! When the time comes, choose wisely and carefully. Shall you resist the temptation, however great it may be? Or will your will fail, and fall into the great, everlasting abyss that the item emulates?" She turns around, and Faramir takes his leave. [glow=orange,2,300]____________________________________________________________________[/glow]Well, folks, that's Faramir's vision. I know my RPG - playing was slightly corny and so predictable, but stick a fork in me, because this was my first RPG. I usually don't participate in these kind of things, so I've got no experience. I normally wouldn't go in an RPG, but for this, I have no choice, because it's my responsibility to take up where Lady Galadriel left off. Sorry if you didn't like how I did! ~Rina

"I cannot tell you exactly what it is - for I do not know myself. But I know to warn you - that whatever may come to cross your path of life, be cautious. Be wary of certain Rivers - be wary of stone. I bid you - watch not only your kin, but take care of yourself too, because if you are gone, who is left to look after your people?" [glow=orange,2,300]____________________________________________________________________[/glow]Meh - that RPG of mine was not so good either - but then consider that I've read The Silmarillion only once, so am not sure what major part Elros plays . . . forgive me! ~Rina

"The mirror shows many things, and one among them is the incidents that were - but nay! Do not forget that this same mirror also shows things that have not come to pass. Do not rush to think that this is your past. For the mirror can be very misleading. Or perhaps this is not the past, but only a distant dream of when you ruled Lorien. And - yes - I know that you saw your mother and father. But as for the meaning of this vision - I will not say. It is for you to decipher, and it is for me to watch. [glow=orange,2,300]____________________________________________________________________[/glow]Ah - not much better, but at least I didn't deliver bad news to igraine! Too bad Viviane isn't here anymore to read this . . . ~Rina

Herself in the mirror said as the image turned back to the reflection of Doredhelwen. "What does it mean?" She found herself asking. Lady Galadriel sighs, and appears, stepping forward from the protection of foliage clinging to the many thin trees. "Doredhelwen, you know that this is the future - and you know that this is your fate. For I have likewise foreseen this fate - not in you - but in someone else, my daughter's daughter - yes, the Lady Arwen Undomiel. Arwen will fall in love with a mortal - a great valiant man - but still a mortal nevertheless, one that is doomed to die. And when the time of the Elves is over, and all Elves must leave and cross the sea to the Grey Havens, the Undying Lands - Arwen will choose to stay - choose to remain with her mortal lover, and thus, the life of the Eldar will leave her. And though she will be gifted with years of life thrice those of ordinary men - she too will die - but not before she witnesses the death of her lover, the one she gave up her immortality for. Doredhelwen, now I ask this to you, - do you foresee the same fate in your own mind, for your own self? Is it your destiny as well? Do you have the choice of Luthien, and of Arwen? [glow=orange,2,300]____________________________________________________________________[/glow]Well, I think that RPG of mine was slightly better. Longer too. Now I'm DONE!!! Hope you all enjoyed it. ~Rina
