I'm not a big fan of vampires, but I do like the story of Dracula, I think it's very interesting! But I don't like things like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and such...

haha ...he....Yes he's a very cool vampire. What about Helsing? Also good...well, that's not his name...it's Alucard. You know, it took me a long while to figure out that was 'dracula' spelled backwards...haha how sad.

Favourite vampire movies:
1. Abel Ferrera's 'The Addiction' 2. Interview With The Vampire 3. The Lost Boys 4. The Hunger 5. Nosferatu
I like vampires but the idea comes with a lot of baggage. There've been a lot of tortured, brooding, angsty, mysterious, uber-sexy vampires of late and I think the genre needs to be taken in a different direction. Plus a lot of films and literature I've read/seen that deals with vampires usually doesn't know what to do with them. 'Underworld' is a good example. Here's a film that has vampires. Here's a film that has werewolves. The vampires and werewolves fight. End of film.
Some people get lost in the style, forgetting substance altogether.
Favourite vampires:
Cassidy from the 'Preacher' comic books Bela Lugosi's Dracula (the way he talks, yummy) Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer Nosferatu (bald-headed creepiness) Lestat (though I've only ever read the first Anne Rice book and hated the Queen of the feeted movie)

I think Queen of the Dam*ed would have been a good movie if Aliyah ..however you spell it...wasn't in it...that whole plot around her made the entire movie suck. It would have been far better off without her.

I did like those little music videos Queen of the feet had, like that 'Cabinet of Dr.Caligari' hommage at the start. If you're interested in vampires you should check out this vamp rpg I've been playing with over at: www.cityofmidnight.proboards99.comI've got a soft spot for Buffy and Angel. The scriptwriting is so irreverent. I luvs it I tell ya.
