World of Warcraft is a MMORPG, a Massive-Multiplayer-Online-Role-Playing-Game. It's the largest in the world, to be precise, with over 1,000,000 players. There are three Real-time Strategy (RTS) games based on the same world--Warcraft, Warcraft II, and Warcraft III. I don't have the game myself, but a friend of mine does, and I've watched him play and played myself sometimes. He gets on for hours every day. It's a very interesting game. www.worldofwarcraft.com is the main site, but there are tons of other ones.

Oh yeah, I've seen posters of this game plastered all over video game stores. I'm not sure what the big deal is with WoW, but a lot of people I know are OBSESSED with it.
I would give it a try it if it wasn't so gosh darned expensive to play.

It is expensive. That's the number one reason why I don't play it. But it is also addictive. That's the number one reason why I want to play it--I've played it before.
