The Riftwar Series, Emipre Trilogy, Serpentwar Series, Conclave of Shadows (most recent books), Faerie Tale....etc. Most of his books take place in a land called Midkemia..and are related to his first books about the Riftwar. I think he's written about 20 books or so... At least quite many.

hmmm...I don't recall any of those titles, but that I've seen that name before, probably when I browse through the fantasy section at Borders. What do you think is a good book for me to start off with?

You've read them! What do you think? Cal, I would recommend reading Magician first, that's the first book of The Riftwar Saga, and most of what happens in the other books are in some way or other related to the events that take place here. Not that it's a prerequisite to read or enjoy the other books, it's just the natural place to start.

Hmmm....I've read the Riftwar Saga, but none of the others, yet. It'll be a while before I have a chance to get my hands on the other ones by him, though I could easily read them all in a few weeks (there aren't that many, after all), so maybe the next time I'm in the USA I'll read them.
I didn't like the Riftwar Saga enough to buy the others, though....it was good, but not really good. It's not comparable to LotR or the Wheel of Time.
