Just FYI, RJ has officially killed the Taimandred theory. Taim is Taim, a very powerful darkfriend from this age. And probably the first in line to become one of the new forsaken.

Yeah, I know, but I needed enough answers to make a poll I'm rereading PoD now, so I haven't got to the attack by the asha'man on Rand, but does it actuaklly say they are darkfriends? Or does Taim just want power (MWahahahahaha!) |

It doesn't say right out that they're darkfriends in PoD. But in WH it gets pretty obvious.

Yeah, just read the bit in WH from Demandreds PoV, saying that the fools had failed in their attack on the SunPalace...Darkfriends they are!!!  It really sets up a good black tower battle doesn't it... Will Hopwil, Narishma and Flinn come back to help Logain and the dedicated and soldiers? Cos the full Asha'man, all being "tutored" by Taim are much more experienced and powerful...Or will it be a one-on-one powerfest between Logain (Yay!) and Taim (Boooooo) |

Well, I really hope for a one-on-one between Taim and Logain, since I really want Logain to achieve some glory. He's more and more becoming one of my favourite characters. poopiepants, why couldn't he be the Dragon Reborn instead of that stupif farmboy?
As for the rest of the battle, I guess that Narishma will lead an attack on the df-Ashaman.

just started book 10 again, at the end of the intro, Logain comes to Caelmlyn with the captured Aes Sedai...why? is he trying to find rand to tell him the m'haels being bad? or enlisting more aes sedai to his cause?

Well, the prologue hints strongly that his main purpose is to find Rand. And when he talks to Rand it seems that he's very much concerned about whooping Taims butt. So yeah, I think he's there to convince Rand that it's time to do something.
