I don't think that WoT could compete, unfortunatly. Since the story isd WAY more complicated, every book should be made into a movie close to 4 hours. If RJ is right, that means 12 movies x 4 hours. Then throw in the need for special effects that need to be developed, since what we have today isn't enough, and we end up with a financial situation that is...not realistic.
But IF they managed to do this, WOW!!! That'd be some film-history.
