What do you think, should there be a fourth?

I would only watch a fourth if Johnny Depp was in it again. The man has a knack for picking out good scripts, so I don't think it would be horrible if he agreed to be in it. But really, I think Disney is going a little overboard. It should remain as a trilogy.

I would be happy either way. Yes Johnny Depp is amazing in the 3rd one I just don't want the 4th to be like the 2nd: just in there for information. In my opinion the 2nd isn't even in the same league and the 1st and 3rd. So I would like another one only if they guaranteed it would be as amazing as the last.

My answer to this yes and no. Yes, because I think AWE had some issues that need to be fixed and a fourth movie could redeem the third. No, because if they continue at this rate, the movies will just get worse and worse.

So basically, I would love another movie, but only if it's significantly better than AWE and the creators really took the time to come up with a quality storyline...

It seems as if Keira Knightly definitely doesn't want anything to do with anymore Pirates films. She says she feels like she's spent too much of her time there/the majority of her acting career/youth which is true since she started at like 17. They say IF there's a fourth film, it's going to focus on Jack and his adventures (johnny's up for more) and perhaps ONLY jack will be returning.

i do too, but at the same time...i don't think the third movie ended it nicely. It needs to be redeemed

Walt Disney Pictures has reportedly made tentative plans to shoot a fourth film in 2009.[38] Johnny Depp has stated that he would love to play Jack Sparrow for another trilogy "if they had a good script."[39] In February 2007, after filming was completed on Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, screenwriter Terry Rossio said he and Ted Elliott may try to write a screenplay, though "It's like the fourth Indiana Jones picture — there are forces in play to make it happen, and forces in play to make it not happen."[40] The film has since been produced. Geoffrey Rush has expressed interest in returning as ex-villain Barbossa.[41]
