I saw the cartoon version in an RS lesson (our teacher loved LOTR and made some ecxuse about it being morally relavent(which it is), but we knew she just wanted 2 watch LOTR- it was 2002 though- before FOTR came out on video so we watched the cartoon). All I remember is that Aragorn was a red-indian in it!

Wow, the last time I watched The Hobbit I was my sister's age... about six.... I must say I've never fully recovered. If PJ were to make The Hobbit though, I don't think, in good faith, I could say that it wouldn't measure up to LOTR. The stories are so different, even down to the basic mood, that you really can't compare... Besides, if PJ were to pick it up, I don't think he'd slack off. He did an excellent job with LOTR even though so many people doubted him, didn't he??

yes, that is very true...i have it in my fanclub mag as a quote from PJ, they would not be able to use ian holm, but im not sure about ian mckellen...they just talked about ian holm...but then again, he might not even do the hobbit, so dont egt your hopes up too high guys

I'll admit that I am hopeful about the whole Hobbit affair, but I think it's really just because I am so depressed... LOTR is over!! 3 years of my life.... *sigh* well anyway, if PJ DID end up doing the Hobbit, I am willing to bet he's get Ian McKellan to be Gandalf again. It just wouldn't be right otherwise, and PJ probably knows that. Besides, I read something somewhere (hehe) in which Ian said that he'd be quite upset if Peter decided to make the Hobbit and didn't ask him to be in it.

he was talking about ROTK...but they arent actually 'talking' about what was in the movie becuase it would have been spoilers at the moment...and then they went into stuff abotu the hobbit...and he said that no one, so far, has the copyrights for the hobbit
