I think all the characters are great. I mean the monsters and special effects are so realistic.

uh huh! I'm amazed at how well they did Gollum! He's so realistic, it seems as though you could just reach out to him and touch him...so life-like, i thought it was going to be corny looking and fake like most computer animated characters that are put into non-animated movies...Also the body couble for Boromir in FOTR was incredible, the artists are so talented and precise! Every intricate detail was made in the look alike, i didn't even know it was fake until they said it on an LOTR special...

*nods* Gollum was really great. But I'm a little disappointed with the ents. Of course it's hard to make living trees in a realistic way, but it's something with them that disturbs me.

Hmm, I think they did fine with the ents. They did a good job. There might be a little room for improvement but I don't think too much. Speaking of ents, you all know who did Treebeards voice right  ? |

Hey gollum is one freaky dude because he has two sides. One evil and one good. It is so funny when he fights with him self. ;D

I was really impressed with the Ents, but...I do agree that they could've done slightly better. I think its kinda cool that John Rhys-Davies does the voice of Treebeard.  I think the evil side of Gollum, which is...Gollum, haha, that part kind of disturbed me. But not that much. Smeagol is his good side. |

Yeah, the dialogue within, between Gollum and Smeagol is so awesome! I was worried how Jackson would show that, because psychology in that kind of movie is usually hard to do, but he more than succeeded.
At least the with first one. And it helps explaining why Frodo wants to "save" him, because he thinks that Smeagol is still somewhere inside.
