I heard somewhere that Sam eventually goes into the west...is that true? it didn't say that in ROTK, or at least that i know of...  |

i think he does. in the book when gandalf comes to take frodo, sam was with him. he or someone tells sam that since he too was a ringbearer for a time, he must come over. first though he has to live with his family, since he has still much to live for. i think when he was older he left, although i dont remember the book actually saying he did.

something like that... but i think he stays in the shire in the end and had 13 kids... 13? that's loads!

Sam does go into the west as trhe last ring bearer. But only after he's had 13 children and Rosie dies. It does not say in the Lord Of The Rings books but I think it says it somewhere in one of the unfinished Tales books.
It's that same with Legolas and Gimli as they too go into the west.

The books alright but you have to first get through the stuff about the other characters in all the other books. They are interesting to read though.
