Lalaith and Ninìel
Lalaith -the girl with the laughter in her eyes- her mother’s joy her father’s pride Her life was difficult (without reason) Though she did not see it
Ninìel -child of tears, the crying girl- daughter of the river she was alone Little did she know less did she desire
Together did they dance through the enchanted forest of their home None could tell them apart For difference flees And they were alike
Alenë – father and man of wisdom he saw their destination Powerless to intervene he was not enough
The day arrived
They were gone Only the wind was left Howling in pain he mourned their loss
Lalaith and Ninìel -On their golden path under the darkening sky- Sang their song Danced their dance Laughed and cried
In Eternity’s embrace
For those of you that have read the Silmarillion or similar: You might recognize the names from the Tale of Tùrin Turambar. Well, I just used the names and the meaning of them, because I liked them.
Anyway, tell me what you think?
