What is the max number of times you've reread a book? Mine is 7... haha I rock. I skipped the boring parts though ;D

Well, when you have a little too much time on your hands (like WEEKS), rereading is the only thing to KEEP you from getting bored. at least, for me...

The most I've done is The Lord of the Rings (as in, all three parts of it) twenty-five times. I've been through The Silmarillion ten times, and through The Wheel of Time five times (though individual books a lot more than that).

i've only re-read things twice. beyond that, i get irritated with knowing what the next line is going to be.

I read really fast, though (I read 120 pages per hour), so I can actually read The Lord of the Rings over the coures of two school days, along with doing all of my homework and attending all classes and spending time on the comp. WoT, though, takes longer. A lot. I mostly read books over the summer, though--I read over seventy books between late June and early August in 2006. I like to reread books though, just because every time (if the book is on the level of LotR or WoT) I notice something new, something that makes me really intrigued, so by the time i finish LotR or WoT, I feel like starting at the beginning and going through it again. I mean, anything that can have as many theories posted about it as WoT does on wotmania is definitely worth rereading. ^_^

I like to reread books because (as Ta'veren said above) you catch things that you never noticed before, and you see things in a different perspective the 2nd time than the 1st time. I wonder why that is.

Well, I could guess, but it'd probably just end up being a bunch of complicated babbling.
I just finished Knife of Dreams today, and now I totally feel like rereading the series. Just because it amazes me to no end how RJ planned everything out and has all these little details that you don't notice at first scattered throughout the entire series, foreshadowing the events of later books. It's incredible.

Well, LotR was my favourite series from 2001, when I first read it, until mid-last year, when I read WoT for the third time, and it struck me how complex and detailed everything was, like how much you can figure out about the various cultures just by the tidbits that RJ drops into the book. Which is totally awesome.

The most times that I've reread a book is 5 but it was a quartet called The Immortals series. I often reread books in a seires if it takes a while for me to get the next book and I have forgotten a lot of the parts and people. And when I do book reports I dont pay attention that mucha dn I have to reread the book to pick up things that I have missed.
