Well well well ne3p you bring up an interesting point, what about magic, animals, etc. etc. Well, I think that each race should apply to thier own natural gifts. F.e. Istari would obviously have magic, elves could too also they are swift, and agile. Mordorians are more of strength, but that does not always mean they have no cunning. Dwarves would have no use for magic really, they are stout and hearty. Basically what I'm saying is keep it true to Tolkien. It wouldn't be right for a 2 ton cave troll to weave complex spells while shooting a yew wood bow, and riding a wolf now would it!

if im a mercenary/assasin can i use poisons/throwing knives etc? As an assasin i do not need spells much...

I would say poison for an assasin would be okay, because you would obviously want to kill in stealth, poison would help that so yes, poison is fine.

Normally i would have ended this with a poisoned knife or arrow by now, but the point is not to kill the opponent...

Did you read the rules at all? That entire post is what is called God-Moding. For example if you wanted to try to stab me, you have to say. *ne3p takes a poisoned knife and tries to stab Sauron between the armour.* The fates of the people can only be decided by themelves, please, please, pleasere-read the top post!

A new warrior arrives on the scene. Clad in Dragonscale armour, he carries a long lance and tall shield.
An enchanted sword of ancient Numenor hangs at his left hip.
He steps forward and thrusts with the lances' curvous steel tip, attempting to hook under ne3p's armour and slice upward.

the main problem with this approach is that ne3p is an assassin and therefore wears no substantial armour, and her belt is cut in two.

ne3p then lunges with a dagger and attempts to go for a gap between the scales in psychoknight's armour...

psychoknight deflects the blow with a twist of his spear,
bringing it round in a circular motion, attempting to connect with the back of ne3p's head.
