*Well, as M'hael, I'm among the strongest male channellers, so that makes me stronger than all but the MOST gifted, probably impossibly so, women. If you mean in physical strength, I'm 6'2'' and benchpress 75kg... *Hmmmm, no offence intended, eh, wise one, but you have no right to channel at anyone who is not of your sept or clan, it's just plain rude... You are not in the tower, why do you try to uphold their rigid rules on novices?

This conversation reminds me of the fact that since the taint is not long gone we have no male Windfinders yet. How do a man find out if he is able to learn to channel? I wound want to know if I have the ability. The Atha'an Miere might also be interested in striking a bargain with, either the White or the Black tower, about training, the first male channelers...

You can only be tested by another male channeller. I make a small flame with the power, you concentrate on the flame until I feel a resonance of your power. THe strength of the resonance and the speed that I pick it up at are an indication of how strong you are. Are you sure you want male windfinders though? It would be sort of like collapsing a pillar of your society, if that happens, women will want to be blademasters (eh, mistresses ). It could lead to division... *If you want to be able to channel, just ask, and I'll find the ability in you...it's up to you

(I'll give it 1/3 chance and see... ...able, or was it to generous a chance...)
Well I thought that since we should be able to double the number of channelers, I could get half of them to be swordmasters / soldiers. Of course both men and women choose for themself what they wish to become. This should produce more windfinders since that is what all channelers today are intend to be.

*it's up to you, 1/3 is generous, but if you want to channel, I have no objections, it means I get someone in the black tower...* Hmmm, do you think that men will have strong enough power at weaving Air or Water? Not many women are proficient at weaving earth, or even fire...Maybe it would be better to keep the men as cargomasters, blademasters etc., but with another, more dangerous weapon (Fire in ship-to-ship warfare has it's uses )

It's just the possibility to learn...
*sits down and concentrates on the small flame*

*cool then, let's do this!* *channels a small flame and concentrates on tinkers mind*
Just relax. push all your emotions into the flame, don't feel anger or hapiness, sadness or pleasure. You are one with the flame...
*minutes pass*
I can feel something...there is a resonance...you can channel, and quite strongly, I'd say, once you get proficient. I must be ta'veren, my 1st test actually worked!!!

*blinks*
Strange... I'll have to travel back to Tremalking and inform the Mistress of the Ships. Some changes must be considered for the organisationing of channelers.
*stands and leaves the bar*

*returns to his place on the bench, and looks around* Nothing at all seems to have happened during my abscence. I can't wait until I get kicked out of the Tower, or become raised, so that I can put away this humiliating dress.

Nice dress ;D *Holds hand in front of face to stifle derisive laughter... fails I thought you would join the black tower ahead of this slip-shod establishment...You get a cool black jacket free when you join, and personal tutoring from the m'hael himself (me!). *relapses into helpless laughter at tinker in a dress*

Well this, the White Toiwer, has been like the closest thing to a home I, as a "tinker", have had since joining this board. So now when I need a bit of education, this is were I turn.
Majsju: I know, but being raised from accepted should leave me free to choose my own garments...
