Coolness, I'm the first one here! Does that mean I have to write something really good, just to set the standards? Meh, don't think so. *thinks hard* Ah, this could maybe be amusing, or something...A little song-quote game. I'll type a few quotes from a couple of songs, and you tell me what song it is. Sounds fun, right? Ok, here we go. #1 People talk about my image like I come in two dimensions, like lipstick is a sign of my declining mind, like what I happen to be wearing the day someone takes my picture is my new statement for all of womankind. #2 And if a doubledecker bus crashes into us To die by your side, such a heavenly way to die #3 Kids flash guitars just like switch-blades hustling for the record machine The hungry and the haunted explode into rock'n'roll bands #4 But the film is a saddening bore for she's lived it ten times or more She could spit in the eyes of fools as they ask her to focus on... #5 Did I disappoint you, or leave a bad taste in your mouth? You act like you never had love and you want me to go without Shouldn't be to hard, right? Have fun and good luck.

I don't listen to the radio much and don't download too much music so I don't recognize most... but #5 is 1 by U2.

Eh, I don't think these are songs you'll hear very often on the radio.
But U2 is correct.

Don MacLean made American Pie.
A "short" list of my favourite artists would look something like this: Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, The Smiths, Ani Difranco, Primal Scream, The Cure, Beatles, Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Suede, Bob Marley, Cheb Khaled, Chuck Berry, Depeche Mode, Edith Piaf, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Happy Mondays, Otis Redding, Miles Davis, Johnny Cash, Mano Negra, Ramones, Jesus & Mary Chain, The Clash...Just to mention a few;) Oh, and of course classical music and opera, especially Wagner.
Sorry, if I get started on music, I easily get carried away:)

Don't worry, it's easily done to forget a name, especially when it's about a musician who's famous for one single song. I mean, it's not like people have ten albums with McLean at home...
And oh! I forgot to list Bach as a classical favourite. *slaps head*

Majsju, i have no clue about the songs...don't listen to the radio much...except for the latin station and classical!!!! woo hoo!!! yep, when it comes to music i'm an obsessed freak like that...Rose! I LOVE ENYA!!!! well, her music that it *laughs*...i was introduced to her on the soundtrack of LOTR (which by the way is absolutely great!!), so now i'm completely obsessed with her and her masterful songs. Bach! he's so cool, ah, i'm so excited i'm learning some of his pieces on the piano! Well, some of my classical faves are (besides Bach) are Vivaldi, Beethoven, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, and a lot others that i can't think of right now...*brain dead* Some of my latin favorites include Shakira, Luis Fonsi, David Bisbal, Juanes, Olga TaƱon, Noelia, and also more people that are blocked from my memory. I like Celtic music...i like Moya (Enya' sister), Secret Garden, Clannad, and since i just got into that i have yet to discover some more good Celtic music. I like some pop, which includes Clay Aiken byt he way, but i don't really know much about who sings what so yeah. I like Christian music, so long as it's not dull and boring. One of my faves in that genre is Jaci Velasquez. Some other random people i like are Josh Groban (such a great voice!) and, well, i like Charlotte Church's music but i don't like how she uses her voice. So, there you have it! i'll be sure to post more later...hee hee

Well, I'm considering giving a few hints, and see if that helps. I'll drop one off right now, all artists except #5 are represented in my short "favourites list". That probably didn't help much, but who knows...
