i would suggest spreading a little mistrust among their ranks, tell two of them whose ideas have grown too great that you have put them in charge of a small section of the army, then watch them fight over its controll until one or both of them are dead, this will give the others hope for promotion, remove a trouble maker for you and provide some interesting sport...
