yeah, that was really cool! I have to agree with Majsju about the ents...they were kinda weird, but i hafta cut PJ some slack, because, how CAN you make walking and talking trees look realistic?? That was probably one of his toughest challenges...so i can't blame him that much.

Sir Ian McKellen has continually convinced me that he is one of the best actors out there. I don't think that it's Sir Ian when I continually watch the movies. No, I think that it's really the spirit of Gandalf, whom Ian plays exactly as everyone has imagined him! ;D

definitely elijah...i mean...HE TOOK ON THIS JOB WHEN HE WAS 18! that is really young to do such a project and he gets me sucked into the movie and crying...he was wonderful in ROTK

i agree. frodo has always been my favorite character and the way lij portrays him is just amazing. he's also really cute. ;D

I think viggo mortensen. He is truly inspiring. He is just wonderful on and off camera. And his writings and paintings and poems are amazing...

I think Elijah- cos of the way he totally transformend Frodo from a happy little hobbit, to... what he is in ROTK as the ring takes hold...
But also Viggo, cos he's so similar to Aragorn in himself (ie. doesn't want the fame etc.) and totally get into his character.

i think the person who portrayed their characters the best are Ian McKellen and Christopher Lee...I completely agree with TheEvenstar...they are truly the spirits of Tolkien, and LOTR in general!!

now whenever i think of Christopher Lee or Sir Ian McKellen, i think of Saruman and Gandalf. they are those characters.

cate is always amazing...shes a wonderful actress.
She did a wonderful job with the prologue reading. She just transformed her voice and it was so deep and mysterious. She really did transform herself into an elf.
