So, I have decided to weave a new roleplay sort of system into the Realms. I call this, the dragonfang system. Here's some FAQ:
Q. What is the dragonfang system? A. The dragonfang system is simply a way in which members can earn and spend dragonfangs towards prizes and rewards.
Q. What are Dragonfangs? A. Dragonfangs are going to be the form of currency used on the forum.
Q. How do I know how many Dragonfangs I have? A. The amount of dragonfangs you have is listed under your avatar.
Q. How can I earn dragonfangs? A. There are several ways to get them. Mainly, it will be a combination of your karma points and amount of posts. Additionally, there will be other opportunities to gain them through contestst, rpgs, etc. See list below.
Q. How many dragonfangs do I get per karma/post? A. Each post gives you 2 dragonfangs, and every karma point you receive gets you 10 dragonfangs.
Q. What can dragonfangs get me? A. You can either use them toward the new roleplay (details for this will be posted in roleplay section soon) or you can use them for personal reasons. Dragonfangs can be used to get a Custom Title, Premium advertisement of your website on the Realms, or rpg prizes such as clothing, homes, pets, weapons, armor, etc. which will help you in our new roleplay system.
Q. If everything is fictitious, how do we stop someone from simply typing that they own something when they don't? A. This is where I ask your help. In order for this to work, and to have a blast- because I'm sure we will- we must rely on the honesty policy. Please do not ruin this for others and simply type that you have fancy clothes, undefeatable weapons, and other things if you have not purchased them. If this happens, inform me and they will be warned. If it continues they will be banned. Additionally I am asking you guys to keep a list of everything you've bought and own once you purchase your house.

==DRAGONFANG SYSTEM==
GENERAL REWARDS: General rewards are nonspecific and can range from the following:
-Custom Title = Instead of having to claw your way up the social ladder by posting like a madman, you can simply purchase a title of your choosing. You will be able to change it again if you like, with another purchase and so on and so forth.
-Custom Graphic = This is different from graphic requests. The Realms custom graphics are RoF specific and won’t look like the average banner. Only those who purchase these unique plaques of honor will be able to show off their RoF pride.
-Seniority Rights/Badges = This one’s hard to explain, so I’ll just give an example: Let’s say Susie Q. who is a new member and only has 5 dragonfangs, wants to rule Rohan. Simultaneously, Joe Schmoe, who is a veteran member and has 3000 dragonfangs, also wants to take over Rohan. If Joe purchases a Seniority Badge, then he can have ‘seniority’ over the decision and therefore claim Rohan for himself. Details and restrictions will be explained in the future.
-Website Advertisement = This is basically renting out the Info Box for advertisement purposes. Your site banner and link along with any additional information or descriptions you would like to add in the box. Different lengths of renting time are available. Gold=1 month=1000df, Silver=1 week=500 df, Copper=1 day=250df. First come first serve, then a list will be made. (This would be a good time to use a seniority badge).
RPG REWARDS: RPG rewards are roleplay specific. Note: in the new roleplay system you will start off homeless, in rags, and without protection or food. Solution? RPG Rewards! (The RPG will be explained in further detail in the future).
-House = A section or ‘neighborhood’ will be opened for roleplay houses. By purchasing a house, you will gain a (sub)board of your own. You will be able to name it and create whatever ‘rooms’ or threads you like. When you purchase your home it will not be furnished.
-Coat of Arms = Once you've purchased your house, you need a coat of arms to pass down to future generations! How do you get one? Why the marketplace of course. Simply fill out the form, and pay the fee to get your personal coat of arms which you can proudly dislpay when you move into your home.
-Pet = Several pets will be available for adoption. Cheaper pets will be more common, and the expensive ones will be more exotic. Once adopted, you will get a certificate with their name and date of adoption.
-Shop = In the future you will be able to open your own shop. For the moment, shops will only be under administrative rule. There you will be able to adopt, or purchase everything necessary. These include furniture, food, weapons, armor, clothing, and eventually new stock for your store.
-Marriage and Adoption = If you and someone you know on the Realms would like to be married, become siblings, or adoptive child/parent of the other, then it will be done (as long as you have the dragonfangs to cover the cost)!
HOW TO GAIN: These are the main ways you can gain dragonfangs. The amount of dragonfangs per action will be charted soon.
-Get a new member = If you get someone to join the Realms, you will receive a sum of 900 dragonfangs and the new member will receive 450 dragonfangs. To do this you must send me a private message saying who you brought to the Realms. Additionally, that person must also PM me and let me know that they joined through you. Once that's done, you'll receive your dragonfangs.
-Posts = The more you post, the more dragonfangs you get. 2 dragonfangs per post. [SPAM does NOT count. Per each spam post you will have 10 df DEDUCTED] -Karma = The higher your karma, the more dragonfangs you get. 10 dragonfangs per karma.
-Competitions = Placing first, second, or third on forum contests and competitions will give you large sums of dragonfangs. Current Caption Contest Rewards: 1st place for 1000df, 2nd is 500df, and 3rd is 250df.
-Role-playing = You will only receive dragonfangs on official RoF roleplay missions upon its completion. The amount you receive depends on participation. Current Reward is 7000df. Sign up, here.
-Birthdays = A complimentary gift of 500 dragonfangs will be given to you on your birthday. The only catch is that you have to ask the admin for it via Private Message.
-Exceptional Behavior = If we see someone who is a dedicated and curteous member of the Realms, they may receive a special reward of dragonfangs. Do not ask for these, they will be given at will.
-Voting = We will be entering the Realms in several online competitions. A simple way of gaining dragonfangs is to vote for us when given the opportunity.
-Daily Sign in = A logbook is posted. This is basically the ‘easy’ way of gaining those last few dragonfangs you need to purchase a chair. In other words, you will only receive 2 df, but it’s free and all you have to do is post on the thread once a day. Additional logins will NOT get you additional dragonfangs. Only ONE login a day.
-Spoils of War = This is possibly the most fun way to get dragonfangs. Previously we’ve attempted to start ‘wars’ on the Realms but lost motivation. For this reason, rules and prizes will be set before the war a long with a time-span. The exact details will be posted later, but the winner of the war receives the spoils. Obviously, those with better armor and weapons have a higher chance of winning.
-Transferred funds = If you have a rich friend, they are allowed to donate some of their dragonfangs to you or vice versa. This is done at your own expense (aka, no refunds!). However, it’s useful if you have trustworthy friends, or those who will give your purse a boost when you need it. You can do so at the bank.
-Quiz Tyme = There will be 'trivia' questions about RoF posted up on the forum on a weekly basis. Sometimes they will be polls, but at other times it can be just a straight up question. The prize will usually be 1,000 df unless something spectacular happens. The current question can always be found here.
HOW TO SPEND: I will post threads or 'shops' with listed merchandise along with their prices. There you can ask for what you want, and I will deduct it from your dragonfang count when you receive it. Current market.
